The Burns Family: Easter Sunday

Our griefs He Himself bore. He was pierced through for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed. All of us like sheep have gone astray. Each of us has turned to his own way. But the Lord has caused the iniquity of us all to fall on Him. (Is 53:4-6)
No other man did this. No other man could. Jesus alone, the perfect Son of God, the Savior of the world, He paid the debt so that whoever relies on Him would not perish under God's judgment, but have life with Him fully and forever.

It was this time last year when we found out I was pregnant with you! Last year on Easter Sunday was the day we knew and were overjoyed. I prayed for you for so long and those 9 months of carrying you were wonderful and well worth the wait when I saw your adorable little face for the first time!
Honey, you make mommy & daddy so proud! You’re 3 ½ months and you started shaking your rattle, quite vigorously actually, ALL the way to daycare this morning! You roll over onto your side and finish out your nap that way or you roll over when playing and swing your legs back and forth trying to move and roll back and forth. You grab at your toys on your bouncy seat and even pull them off! The velcro on your elephant toy is no match for your strength! You LOVE your books and stare and stare whether I read one or five books, those pages hold your attention throughout. You spent all day with daddy Friday and made him so happy! You were smiling all day and had so much fun with him. He gets sad sometimes when he says you’re a mama’s boy but after Friday alone with him I think you’re becoming daddy’s boy now! You’ve begun to laugh a little bit! Your tummy shook when you let out a short little giggle last week and when I was changing your diaper you let out a high pitched giggle…still waiting for your belly to shake with laughter!!! Can’t wait!
