Branson, Missouri with Grandma & Tim and getting my second tooth!

Wow! I am a fan of Branson! It was a mini Las Vegas, lit up as we drove in at night and chock full of activities every few feet! It was a great family atmosphere and there were kids in abundance at our hotel all wanting to play with kaleb! There were two little girls who followed him EVERYWHERE and one kept begging "bring him in da other pool wit me" as she was afraid of the bubbles in the jacuzzi where kaleb sat on my lap=) There was another 9 month old kaleb got ecstatic over and the two were screaming and smiling at each other and were talking up a storm! It was so great to see my mom and Tim. Kaleb sure had TONS OF FUN with his grandma! She bought him all sorts of new toys, read to him, blew bubbles with him, taught him how to stack cups and knock them over, and kaleb was all smiles with Grandma! My mom took some REALLY ADORABLE pics so I'll have to post those up when I get the cd.

We spent lots of time at Branson Landing as Derek and I have been craving those BBQ dungeness crab legs from Joe's Crab Shack since we left California and we also dined at Cantina Laredo...YUMMY! A Cantina is being built right now in Little Rock! The brunch was awesome: carne asada with a green sauce, fruit compote in a cinnamon sugar pastry, potatoes and eggs and all this came with a complimentary mimosa. Tim didn't want his complimentary drink so I also got a complimentary bloody mary! I was one happy girl! Derek got really excited about the Bass Pro Shop but was letdown a little as it was a bit smaller than his favorite. We did get Kaleb hunting overalls and also got a little something for Riley that was oh-so-adorable that I couldn't resist. She'll have to wait until her birthday which isn't too far away! Kaleb dealt very well with cutting his second tooth! A little orajel, swimming, horses, and fun galore took his mind off it!

We caught a show--Dixie Stampede--and Kaleb LOVED the horses although we didn't go for kaleb so much as for Derek since Derek wouldn't stop talking about it from the moment we drove by the arena! Kaleb bounced and bounced the whole time the horses rode by but did get extremely scared initially when the arena was stomping and hollering! In the end, the South was victorious and Kaleb was one happy guy staring at all those giant "doggies" prancing around! Derek and I also got a date night and went go-carting, swimming, and ordered pizza just like the old days! He did beat me the first go-round at the track but the second time tried to crash into me but instead got T-boned into a corner by his beautiful wife and got left in my dust! It was awesome and SOOO much fun since it had been raining and the track was wet, slick, and asphalt bits and water splashed up constantly in our faces which added immensely to the danger/excitement factor!

Surprise, surprise...when we left for the night we left a peaceful, sleeping baby only to return at midnight to find a very awake and lively Kaleb playing with Grandma! I guess Grandma figured he could sleep in the next day which he did! He also slept the whole car ride to and from Branson and got in full naps just before we'd leave for going out which worked out perfectly! It sure was awesome spending all that time with our family! Thanks Tim and Grandma for taking such great care of Kaleb and spoiling us! We'll see you soon Grandma! We can't wait!

This is Kaleb's new outfit from Grandma we made fun of slightly although she did get him a lot of other adorable clothes! He also got a baseball, a beach ball, Toy Story plates, books, and lots of cute clothes from mama and dada! We went shopping but ended up spending all our money on Kaleb! This is a first for mama to go shopping and not spend any money on herself =)

kaleb LOVED this bedspread and would place his hand over an apple as his eyes lit up then would lock eyes on another apple and throw his hand over that apple and so on and so forth until he had touched all the apples within arms reach! He then fell asleep holding his foot.

There's plenty of other great Branson shows to see if you ever get the chance!
