- you put on your own shoes just yesterday and it's now your favorite task. You found your tennis shoes several times today and slipped them on while standing up. Since I keep telling you you need your socks on first you always reach for those first now. Your face just lights up when you finish putting on your shoes!
- you lean into your turns on your 4-wheeler, stand up while riding, and jerk your body back and forth to make it go faster! You are SO BIG!
- 12 teeth!
- You're getting the hang of your potty chair but I think it still might be a little early to push you out of diapers. You're just getting the hang of saying "mommy tee tee" (for potty). There are signs that we should start soon: we wake to find you sleeping on your tummy with your naked bottom up since you love taking your own diaper off, you often nap or go several hours without a wet diaper, and you have attempted to climb onto the big pottty and mimick us flushing. As soon as you can communicate that you have to go better you will be on your way!
- you mimick so much! When I kiss your boo boos you get your lips as close to your knee as you can and blow kisses too!
- We've started including you in prayer time and you LOVE praying with mommy and daddy at dinner. You always reach for our hands and give us the biggest smile after we've prayed and look up at you! You know it's a special time!
- still such a cuddle bug! You LOVE cuddling with us on the recliner for story time or watching a video before bed time!
- TANTRUMS! My goodness! And so unpredictable! We can get through an entire day without any tantrums and you are such an angel and then the next day it's nothing but tantrums all day long. You seem to have plans for every moment of the day and if your day deviates from YOUR plans you throw a big one!
new words
- colors: boo (blue), geen (green), owange (orange), purple (say nearly perfectly!), white (perfect!), back(black), and finally ow (yellow). And I thought yellow was supposed to be easiest!
- boo boo
- RIDE is by far your favorite word since you LOVE going riding on the 4-wheeler
- jet ski (although not in common usage you did say this at the lake repeating after grandpa!
- learned the dreaded word "mine" while temporarily at a new daycare for two weeks while your daycare was on summer break. Now everything is "mine, mine mine!" *update: it has been one week since the "mine" outbursts and I think we have broken you of that, thank goodness! We had to correct you by saying "no, say please" and I think it's worked
- monkey sound (ooh ooh aah aah!) but oftentimes you do the reverse (aah aah ooh ooh!), fish sound (makes fishy lips), elephant sound
- eye
- "THAT" is another favorite anytime you reach for anything and probably comes out of your mouth 30 times a day!
- noon (moon)
- knee
- A-B-C!
