oh my goodness, I couldn't resist! this is officially my favorite pic of my boy! Kaleb always messes with Riley and actually pulled her bow right off of her head at lunch--sorry Riley!! He wanted it, he got it!!! His arms even look so dainty!! Can't you just imagine him saying "welcome to my tea party!!"
kaleb loves messing with riley; his eyes light up when he reaches for her and he normally goes straight for her face! well I'm so proud of riley because she has started to mess with him right back! she was all up in his face this weekend. she was poking and prodding his face and arms! right back at ya kaleb!
I love seeing riley each week and can predict what new thing she's doing cause kaleb is doing the exact same! it's their favorite pose at 5 months!

update this 5th month:♥ laughing so much more! gnawing at your little knees with our teeth makes you laugh so much, hiccupping in your face (laura & amanda discovered this!) makes you smile like no other and laugh, and tickling your neck with acrylic nails (thanks lauren!) makes you squirm & squeal & scrunch up your shoulders
♥ you are sleeping 9 hours and this week you have been waking up and still want to take a 2 hour nap! you must be on a growth spurt because you have been eating and sleeping sooo much this week
♥ rolling over. And over and over and over! I put you down to sleep and when I check on you, your head is on the other side of the crib! as soon as we place you down you roll right over onto your tummy and go right to sleep; it's your preferred sleeping position! also, you give me the biggest smile when I turn on your mobile and you just stare at those giraffes dancing around your head!
♥ you LOVE your leapfrog little touch leap pad! you always want to crinkle the pages so I mostly hold it away and read it to you but sometimes, JUST SOMETIMES, i let you bend the pages and feel them! You are privileged because i let no one else do this! you do have your crinkle book that you can mash and pull and eat the pages all you want.
♥ you can sit up for a several seconds before toppling over
♥ mama got to spend thursday and friday with you as well as ALL weekend with you!! by the time sunday rolled around you were ULTRA fussy--just a little ball of fussiness--and I realized that mama and daddy DO spoil you too much. How can we help it? I want to squish your little legs and shower you with kisses and cuddling. Miss Bobbi always tells me you're spoiled and she has to "re-train you on monday cause he's been spoiled all weekend." Well, I see what she means! I'm used to cuddling you all day like I did when I wasn't working and sometimes forget how big you are and how important it is to play on your own for a period of time. I'm realizing even at this young stage you are coming into your independence and realizing self-sufficiency in small ways and you are great at playing with toys for 20 minutes at a time on your own. I can't believe you've already grown out of infancy and are becoming such a big boy excited at all your newfound discoveries! You are the Lord's first, honey, and I see this amazing, joyous little firecracker who keeps mommy & daddy on their toes! I bet I can predict how toddler years are going to be...I have somewhat of an idea! I promise to allow you time to grow independently of mommy and to realize you are okay on your own! I'll just be watching you adoringly from around the corner with the video camera...
